Strategic Visit to China: Strengthening Partnerships for the Delta LNG Project

Westflux visited China to meet OEMs and tour LNG plants under construction—deepening technical due diligence and supplier partnerships for the Delta LNG development.

In June, the Westflux team embarked on a strategic visit to China as part of our ongoing efforts to advance our gas plant and Delta LNG project. During the visit, we engaged with several potential Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and were given guided tours of LNG plants currently under construction—seeing how world-class equipment is fabricated, installed, and commissioned.

The delegation drew on Westflux's experience across oil and gas and midstream development to ask detailed questions about performance, warranties, spare-part strategies, and how suppliers support projects through startup and steady operations. Seeing facilities in person provided firsthand insight into manufacturing scale, quality systems, and the real-world discipline required to deliver LNG infrastructure on schedule.

A core purpose of the mission was to evaluate OEM capabilities and progressively narrow a shortlist of partners capable of meeting Westflux's standards for safety, reliability, and long-term operability. Side-by-side comparisons of workshops, reference projects, and technical teams helped clarify which relationships are best aligned with the Delta LNG development roadmap.

This visit marks an important milestone as Westflux works to bring modern LNG processing and logistics capacity to Nigeria. Building trusted international partnerships while staying anchored in local regulatory and community expectations is central to delivering energy infrastructure that can serve industrial, transport, and power customers for decades.

Conclusion

We appreciate the openness and hospitality of our hosts in China and the depth of technical dialogue during every session. Westflux will share further updates as engineering, procurement, and project execution advance—and as we continue positioning the company as a capable, compliance-led player in Nigeria's gas and LNG future.
