Thrilling Project Update: Westflux Secures License to Establish (LTE) for Its Delta LNG Project

Westflux has obtained NMDPRA’s License to Establish (LTE) for the Delta LNG project—unlocking the next phase of design, compliance, and delivery for Nigeria’s gas and LNG ambitions.

We are pleased to share an important progress update on our gas plant and LNG project. Westflux Integrated Services Limited has secured the License to Establish (LTE) for its Delta LNG initiative—a critical regulatory milestone for bringing the project closer to execution.

Below we explain what the LTE means, why it matters for the Delta LNG development, and how Westflux will build on this step in the months ahead.

What is the LTE?

The License to Establish (LTE), issued by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), authorises a company to establish new midstream or downstream petroleum facilities in Nigeria. It confirms that the proposed project satisfies initial regulatory requirements and allows Westflux to advance development work in line with approved designs, plans, and compliance benchmarks.

Why is this Significant?

Securing the LTE strengthens the foundation of the Delta LNG project in several ways:

  • Regulatory compliance: The LTE demonstrates alignment with Nigeria’s petroleum regulatory framework and NMDPRA expectations, giving clarity on the path ahead for permitting, construction, and operations.
  • Project validation: It affirms that the project concept, siting approach, and early technical planning have passed a formal regulatory gate—supporting disciplined progression into detailed engineering and execution planning.
  • Investor confidence: Licences of this kind are widely recognised milestones in oil and gas developments. The LTE helps reassure investors, lenders, and partners that Westflux is advancing a serious, regulator-backed LNG initiative in Delta State.

What's Next for Westflux?

With the LTE in place, Westflux will continue progressing subsequent permits and consents, detailed design, and construction readiness activities. We remain committed to transparency, community engagement, and safe, responsible delivery as the Delta LNG project moves from planning into execution.

Conclusion

The LTE for our Delta LNG project is a major step forward for Westflux and for everyone who will benefit from expanded gas value-chain development in Nigeria. We thank our regulators, advisors, and stakeholders for their continued support.

Stay tuned for further updates as we advance engineering, construction, and partnerships—working toward a reliable LNG solution built on safety, compliance, and long-term value for host communities and the nation.
